Questions
How do I calculate my cash-pay rate as a dietitian?
Add your target take-home income and yearly business costs, adjust for tax, then divide by the sessions you can realistically deliver after holidays and no-shows.
How many CPT units is a 60-minute initial MNT visit?
CPT 97802 and 97803 are billed per 15 minutes, so a 60-minute visit is typically 4 units and a 45-minute follow-up 3 units. Verify current rules with each payer.
Does a superbill guarantee my client gets reimbursed?
No. Reimbursement depends on the client's plan and payer rules. A superbill only gives the client the information to submit a claim.
